The 1976 Pontiac Trans Am was a continuation of the second generation of Trans Am models. It to feature the distinctive styling that had become synonymous with the Trans Am lineup. This included the split grille, quad headlights, and the "screaming chicken" hood decal. The body design remained muscular and sporty, although some changes were made to meet evolving safety and emissions requirements.
Total Production: Approximately 46,701 units. Engines available were the 400 V8 and the 455 HO V8.
